Our Policies

Warranty

All Carbon14 watches are produced according to highly professional technical criteria using materials qualitatively tested, even those more innovative, and our warranty is a guarantee of quality.

The warranty excludes the following components:

  • The battery, the band, the strap, the crystal breaking and possible faults caused by improper use as well as factors due to normal aging or wear of the watch.
  • Watches handled by unauthorized persons (eg for battery replacement, sevices or repairs) or altered from their original condition, outside Carbon14’s control).

If any of the other components is found to be defective because of either materials or workmanship during the warranty period, provided the watch has been used normally, we will repair or replace the watch, free of repair charges.

If we have to replace your watch, Carbon14 cannot guarantee that you will receive the same model. If your model is not available, we will replace it with a watch of equal value and similar style. Your Carbon14 watch is covered under the terms and conditions of this warranty for a period of two (2) years from the original date of purchase.
The warranty is valid only if correctly and fully compiled with dealer’s code, date of purchase, stamp and signature of the official dealer.

Water resistance – a warning: Watch water resistance is rated on laboratory pressure tests based on a static position. Many water-based activities involve a lot of movement and other environmental factors, so we recommend that you do not submerge your watch in water for a long period of time. Our water resistance rating does not take into account sudden, rapid and repeated water pressure changes, high temperatures (showers, baths, hot tubs and Jacuzzis are not recommended for your Carbon14 timepiece) and sudden changes of temperature. Steam can pass through a rubber seal and, on occasion, cause condensation on the crystal. Over time, this can cause the movement to rust. Bath soap is also a fine level abrasive and can wear down watch links, cases, crowns etc. Always wipe or clean your watch with a lightly-dampened microfiber cloth to maximize the life and water resistance of your watch.

If your watch needs work under warranty, please:

  • Include a copy of the warranty card, duly stamped and dated by an official retailer together with a copy of the original sales receipt to validate the date of purchase.
  • Do not send us the original packaging, as we will not return it.
  • Use a prepaid, traceable carrier such as DHL, Federal Express or United Parcel Service (UPS) to return your watch, and insure it for the full purchase price.

Please send all watches for repair under warranty to your store or to the distributor’s adress in your country or service center (see stores & distributors), or in Switzerland HQ if no Carbon14 service center is available in your country.

Repairs

For watch repairs that are not covered under your warranty, Carbon14 may be able to carry out your request for a charge which will depend on watch style and the type of work you require. We will agree any charges with you before we carry out any work.
